The year kicked off with a significant achievement as we secured our Investors in People Platinum accreditation, a testament to our dedicated team’s hard work. Despite our initial plan to pause major changes, we soon found ourselves restructuring roles, creating a Resourcer team, and enhancing our focus on client development processes.
Celebrating 20 years in business was a highlight, marked by a delightful sail on the historic ship, The Matthew, around Bristol Harbour. Training initiatives remained a priority, with notable programs implemented, guided by a top-tier industry Trainer.
The team witnessed commendable growth and development, leading to well-deserved promotions for several members. We also celebrated loyal service anniversaries, with Craig Nicholls marking 5 years and Sue Eustace an impressive 15 years.
On a personal note, our Office Manager, Lucy Scott, embarked on a new chapter as a mum, enjoying maternity leave. We were fortunate to have Liam Whelan step in seamlessly as a temporary replacement.
Awards and recognitions added to the year’s achievements, from being finalists in IIP and Bristol Life Awards, to being recognized at the TEAM Conference as Team of the Year.
Client collaborations thrived, with placements made in every aspect of offsite construction, working UK wide and internationally. We took pride in working with clients we’ve partnered with for almost two decades and supported individuals affected by industry changes.
Re-entering international markets, we placed people on some of the largest offsite related projects in the world, such as NEOM, and the Red Sea project with roles in Saudi and UAE. Our reach extended across a multitude of sectors, demonstrating our versatility in placements.
Active participation in industry events, sponsorships, and exhibitions underscored our commitment to supporting the industry, these included:
- Sponsored Structural Timber Awards for the 9th year
- Exhibited at Offsite Expo
- Exhibited at MPBA Conference
- Exhibited at STA Annual Conference
- Attended MMC Awards
We’ve advanced our commitment to environmental sustainability by implementing air-sourced heating and cooling systems along with LED lighting. This initiative has resulted in a significant reduction in our carbon footprint, translating to a reduction of 4763kg of CO2 emissions, equivalent to saving 1912kg of coal and preserving 263 trees.
Amid adversities, including battles with cancer, the loss of our dear dog Mo and market fluctuations, the team demonstrated unwavering loyalty and resilience. The year concluded on a high note, with a robust pipeline and ambitious plans for 2024.
With confidence and preparedness, we eagerly welcome the opportunities and challenges that 2024 holds. Bring it on!
