Investors in People Awards: We’re finalists!

We’re through to the final for an Investors in People award! It’s a real honour – these are the Oscars of great people management. We’re very excited to be going to the doo on 14th November.

The award we’re up for is:
The Award for UK Employer of the Year (2-49 people): Platinum

To make the final shortlist, we had to firstly get accredited at Platinum level – which only a very small proportion of accredited organisations get to attain – not too shabby eh – 9 year journey though!

The highlights of our submission were:

  • We really do add real value in recruitment! We attract business through expertise and trust, and provide an inclusive, collaborative environment which our people love. They’re measured on quality, rewarded as a team, and exceptionally loyal.
  • 100% of our people polled strongly agree that our values: heritage, innovation, trust, passion, and collaboration guide the way we work. We include them in our stuff! Strategy, business planning, recruitment, recognition, and client and candidate relationships.
  • We reward teams, not individuals, and our people pass on leads, share candidates, and celebrate each other through our “Shout-outs” and “Good Egg” awards. The leadership is completely transparent, and all staff can largely work when and where they choose – but most choose to be in the office.
  • Our ambitious three-year business plan is to increase our workforce by over 100% to 35 people. All existing team members had a voice in creating the plan and are excited and motivated to develop themselves towards promotion and potentially more staff ownership of the business.

You can’t have an Investors in People award without the people.

It’s our people’s genuine team spirit and enthusiasm for working here that have earned us our Platinum accreditation and now this place on the shortlist. That’s why this feels particularly special.

Well – that and getting invited to a glittering awards ceremony! We’re looking forward to congratulating all the winners.
