Job Title: Project Manager – steelwork
Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Salary: £55,000-£70,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme, Pension Contributions, Death in Service (Permanent)

A specialist steel fabrication and installation contractor working within the nuclear and construction sectors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of steelwork packages at Hinkley Point C. The role offers the opportunity to manage projects from design coordination through to fabrication, installation and final handover. This position would suit an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in quality management, engineering, fabrication, construction or nuclear related projects who can provide leadership, drive compliance and maintain project performance across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned steel fabrication and installation projects.
• Manage programme, budget, quality, safety and contractual performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, suppliers, designers and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate contract administration, compensation events and commercial matters in accordance with project contracts.
• Lead project meetings and provide progress reporting to senior management and clients.
• Ensure all project documentation, quality records, inspection records and handover documentation are completed accurately.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, constraints and interface issues.
• Support and promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and process development.

Experience Required:
• Proven experience as a Project Manager within quality management, engineering, construction, or fabrication environments.
• Strong understanding of project delivery from mobilisation through to final handover.
• Demonstrable experience managing programme, cost, quality and contractual requirements.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ideally Fieldview QMS System), non-conformance processes and corrective actions.
• Experience working with inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality documentation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders across site and office functions.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Understanding of NEC contracts and commercial project management principles.

Desirable:
• Experience within specialist steel fabrication and installation. Largely dealing with secondary steelwork: platforms, walkways, ladders, handrails, guardrails, etc
• Previous involvement in nuclear projects.
• Existing nuclear/site clearance.
• Experience using FieldView or similar quality management systems.
• Background overseeing quality assurance and quality control functions.
• Knowledge of secondary steelwork including platforms, ladders, handrails, monorails and gratings.
