Structural Engineer

Structural Engineers required for a £100m plus manufacturing business moving to Harrogate, with a focus on the Oil and Gas, Petrochem sector.

As a Structural Engineer you will play a key role in the design, analysis and implementation of steel structures, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of various construction projects executed by the business.

This position requires a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, structural analysis methods and excellent problem-solving skills

You will have

  • 10 plus years of experience as a professional chartered mechanical/civil/structural engineer.
  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects (Static, Dynamic, Blast, Transportation, Lifting, Connections) SDOF & MDOF.
  • Carry out structural static and dynamic analysis for various kinds of structures including buildings using industry-standard software and tools.
  • Preparation of Detailed Engineering deliverables related to offshore /onshore /industrial /renewable Structures. (Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery)
  • High degree of proficiency in the use of Structural Analysis and Design Software’s such as SACS, STAAD Pro etc. and finite element analysis software’s such as ANSYS or ABAQUS.
  • Experience in the design and execution of projects for both Offshore and Onshore fields. Good knowledge of Structural / Civil materials of construction.
  • QHSE Responsibilities

You will be working on interesting projects around the UK, Europe, USA and the Middle East for the likes of KBR, Dow, Exxon, BP, McDermott, Halliburton, Emerson, Woods etc

Salary on offer will be reflective of years of experience, they are open to discuss, as will some flexibility around office/home.
