Job Title: Commercial Manager

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + Car OR Car Allowance
Location: East Midlands / Home Counties

Great opportunity to join a business who are growing and streamline commercial processes!

We are proud to be working with a well established, expanding contractor specialising in new build housing projects. With a strong pipeline of multi-unit residential projects across the region, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a Commercial Manager role with real influence and progression potential.

As Commercial Manager, you’ll take ownership of the commercial function, ensuring contracts are delivered profitably and in line with client expectations. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll help refine commercial processes, mentor junior staff, and build strong cross-functional relationships to keep projects running smoothly.

What you will be doing as Commercial Manager:

  • Overseeing commercial operations across multiple new build housing projects
  • Managing and administering JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • Leading and developing a small commercial team
  • Preparing CVRs, forecasting, and contract variations
  • Working closely with internal departments—estimating, operations, and procurement
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, including public sector bodies and private developers

We would welcome conversations with Commercial Managers who:

  • Have proven experience in a commercial leadership role within construction or housing
  • Possess strong working knowledge of JCT & NEC forms of contract
  • Can demonstrate a background in managing & leading commercial teams
  • Are a strong communicator across all levels, both internally & externally
  • Has experience in working for public sector clients, main contractors & house builders
  • Hold a proactive approach to problem solving and commercial strategy
