Senior Pre-Construction Manager

Location: Remote ( London 80–90% project focus)
Salary: Up to £85,000 (DOE) + bonus + package


Company

A well-established specialist contractor delivering balconies, balustrades, and architectural metalwork packages across major residential developments. Working with leading developers and Tier 1 main contractors on projects typically ranging from £1m–£4m.


Role Overview

This is a senior, client-facing pre-construction role focused on winning and converting new business. You will manage enquiries from initial lead through to order, working closely with estimating and senior leadership to secure projects in line with margin targets.

The role requires a “plug and play” individual with strong industry relationships who can quickly generate opportunities and contribute to revenue.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop leads from existing clients and new prospects
  • Manage the full pre-construction / sales process from enquiry to contract award
  • Work closely with estimating to develop competitive, commercially sound bids
  • Negotiate and secure orders in line with margin expectations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, main contractors, and key stakeholders
  • Identify new opportunities and promote wider fabrication capabilities
  • Ensure all activity is tracked and managed through CRM systems
  • Lead client meetings and represent the business professionally at all levels
  • Support smooth handover of secured projects to operations teams

Key Requirements

  • Proven track record in pre-construction, estimating, or technical sales within:
    • Balconies
    • Balustrades
    • Architectural metalwork/façades (or closely related packages)

  • Experience delivering packages in the £1m–£4m range
  • Strong network of contacts within developers and Tier 1 / Tier 2 contractors
  • Commercially astute with experience winning work and negotiating contracts
  • Able to operate autonomously and hit the ground running
  • Willing to travel across London and work flexibly to meet client demands

Package

  • Basic salary up to £85,000
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Company benefits package (typical of a mid-sized contractor)
  • Travel support (London-focused role)
