We are working with a great company with an established name in their sector spread over a number of businesses and over 1500 people in various locations across the UK.

Now seeking a Materials Controller, reporting to the Logistics and Materials Manager.  This key role will ensure materials are in place to service scheduled demand, and you will be using your people and organisation skills to as a critical player in the manufacturing operations.

As Materials Controller you will be:

  • Working closely with your colleagues in Planning, Production, Procurement, Design and Logistics, ensuring effective and efficient materials processes and procedures are in place.
  • Optimising MRP planning control systems, meeting customer requirements and ensuring zero stock outs.
  • Working to ensure effective and efficient stock management practices.
  • Involved in regular cycle counts as well as full stock takes on a quarterly basis investigating differences, escalating to Materials Manager when needed.

We are looking for the following skills and experience, ideally from a manufacturing or construction background:

  • Experience of MRP planning control systems
  • Ability for budgetary and planning
  • Evidence of managing materials and stock control
  • Able to prioritise and demonstrate excellent organisation skills
  • Able to use Microsoft Excel to a good level

This Materials Controller role is a full time permanent position, working a 37.5 hour week (0830-1700). Salary payable up to £30,000 with a bonus scheme in place and the potential to work some overtime or take time off in lieu. Excellent benefits package.
