Materials Coordinator required for a key player within the sustainable construction sector to join their Planning team. This new role is critical to the smooth running of production, ensuring materials are available at the right time and in the right place to avoid downtime. You will act as the central link between procurement, logistics, production, and site teams, while also leading a small materials team.
As Materials Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials across the business, ensuring production lines and site teams are fully supported.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating all incoming deliveries on a daily basis
- Preparing and maintaining accurate storage locations for materials and finished products
- Managing pick lists and monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or over‑stocking
- Working closely with Procurement to align deliveries with production demand
- Coordinating material supply to all production lines, ensuring every shift is fully resourced
- Supporting Install teams with timely and accurate site material requests
- Verifying deliveries against orders, ensuring quality, quantity, and paperwork accuracy
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across yard and storage areas
- Providing cover for the Logistics Coordinator when required
Are you:
- Experienced in materials coordination, logistics, or stock control (manufacturing for construction would be preferred although not essential)
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong organisational ability with high attention to detail, confident in managing stock locations, documentation, and pick lists
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- A calm, resilient approach when working under pressure
- Experience leading or supervising a small team would be an advantage.
