Are you an experienced i-joist designer looking to progress your career into a managerial position? Do you have a desire to work with clients and become more customer facing?

We are working with a leading timber manufacturer based in Leeds, they are seeking a hardworking passionate i-joist designer to join their team. This position will be involved being there for the clients, with over 25 years within the industry they are gearing up for a busy 2025 and can see this position training new member of the team throughout the year.

As a I-Joist Designer you will:

• Reviewing architectural drawings and working on designs of timber floor components
• Producing 3D building models, inputting architectural data into specialist CAD design software
• Prepare quotations and designs for client submission.
• Develop cutting lists, schedules, designs, and working drawings for manufacturing and construction.
• Provide technical support to a growing customer base.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in i-joist design.
• Proficiency in CAD/Revit software.
• Attention to detail and reliability, with a passion for timber engineering.
• Passion to progress and develop.
• Clear communicator and able to build relationships.
