Job Title: Technical Sales Manager – Scotland & Ireland (Cold Rolled Steel)
Location: Scotland and Ireland
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum (DOE) + discretionary bonus | Fully Remote

A skilled Technical Sales professional is required to support business growth across Scotland and Ireland within the cold rolled steel sector. The company supplies a range of steel sections, building components and fabrication services, and the role exists to generate new business while managing established accounts in the region. This position would suit someone with strong technical understanding of steel-framed or prefabricated systems and experience interpreting GA drawings. The role offers autonomy, a remote working structure, regular client interaction and the opportunity to influence project delivery from initial enquiry through to final payment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Generate new business opportunities within Scotland and Ireland
• Manage and develop existing customer accounts
• Prepare estimates and quotations based on GA drawings
• Secure orders and oversee projects through to delivery
• Ensure customer payments and project milestones meet agreed terms
• Maintain regular contact with customers through visits and calls
• Attend internal sales meetings as required
• Manage territory and schedule effectively to maximise coverage

Experience Required:
• Minimum 3 years’ sales experience in steel fabrication or related construction/fabrication sectors
• Technical understanding of steel-framed and prefabricated systems
• Ability to estimate from GA drawings
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills
• Proven territory and time management capability
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:
• Experience selling cold‑rolled steel products
• Knowledge of purlins, rails, mezzanine joists or SFS systems
• Background in laser cutting, pressing or fabrication services

Additional Information:
• Hours: 40 per week, Monday–Friday (8:00 am–5:00 pm)
• Benefits: Company car or car allowance; 25 days holiday + bank holidays; pension (3% employer / 5% employee)
• Reporting to: Sales Director
• Probation: 3–6 months
• Territory: Scotland and Ireland
• Regular travel required for customer meetings
