We are working exclusively with an independent light steel frame manufacturer who are immediately seeking to employ a Senior Designer, capable of developing a small team. If you believe you are ready to take on the full project design responsibilities, and want to work with an inclusive growing employer who look after their staff – this could be the one for you.

You will need to bring strong design and modelling skills and a good technical understanding, from a light gauge steel background. You will be solely responsible for designs, producing both 3D models and designs for manufacture, you will be supported by the owners, who are both technically qualified.

This small, though growing business works with self builders and small to medium developers, designing, manufacturing and building panelised light steel frame buildings. They are busy on projects working up to 4 stories, largely in housing, apartments and roof extensions. with a good order book, all based upon providing great solutions and high quality.

Software skills: Ideally you will have experience with Arkitech software, or Tekla or Vertex (compatible). Additionally AutoCAD or Sketchup.

They are taking an open approach to hybrid or remote working. You will of course need to demonstrate your self drive, and commitment to maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. Some work in the office will be required for best communication.
