We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales and revenue growth in the healthcare sector by identifying opportunities within NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, and other relevant markets. You will be responsible for promoting our client’s innovative MMC-built healthcare facilities, which are offered on a rental and/or managed service basis, to key decision-makers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development or sales within the healthcare or construction sector, with a focus on high-value asset sales or rental agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Proactively identify new business opportunities within the NHS and private healthcare sectors, targeting decision-makers involved in facilities management, procurement, and healthcare infrastructure projects.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within healthcare institutions, construction partners, and other relevant sectors.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, including overseeing the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring alignment with sales targets and company growth objectives.
  • Consultative Selling: Provide expert consultation on our client’s healthcare facility solutions, offering tailored advice to meet the needs of NHS Trusts, private healthcare organizations, and their specific healthcare delivery requirements.
  • Product Knowledge & Presentation: Effectively communicate the benefits of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and rental-based agreements for healthcare facilities, delivering engaging presentations and demonstrations.
  • Market Research & Strategy Development: Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs, contributing to strategic sales planning and market expansion efforts.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract discussions and negotiations to secure new business, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for both the client and the organization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including manufacturing, operations, and finance, to ensure successful delivery of projects and a seamless client experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in business development, sales, or client acquisition within healthcare, construction, or related sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the UK healthcare system (NHS and private sectors), healthcare infrastructure needs, and ideally, experience in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) or modular buildings.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
  • Sales Acumen: Experience managing high-value deals, particularly with rental or asset-based agreements, and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with market conditions and company growth objectives.
  • Adaptability: Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential with the right experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management within the healthcare or construction industries.
  • Driving License: A valid UK driving license is required due to the field-based nature of the role.

Package & Benefits:

  • Basic Salary: £55,000 – £60,000
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): £TBC
