Workshop Production Manager – timber/ joinery

Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Workshop Production Manager for our clients doors, windows, and stairs manufacturing business. This new role has been created following the retirement of previous manager and aims to improve workshop operations and management.

Responsibilities:
– Manage a team of 18 workshop staff.
– Implement reporting, KPIs, and capacity planning to enhance workshop management.
– Oversee production using CNC machines (Optomic) and software.
– Develop and improve planning and forecasting processes.
– Ensure effective use of production and reporting systems.
– Maintain a single shift operation from 6 am to 5:30 pm (staggered).

Requirements:
– Proven experience in managing timber windows, doors, and stairs production.
– Proficiency in CNC machinery and relevant software.
– Strong computer literacy and ability to implement reporting systems.
– Excellent leadership skills and ability to relate well to long-serving staff.
– Local candidates preferred due to shift hours and location.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to foster a positive and collaborative workshop environment.

Note: This role is critical for improving workshop efficiency and aligning with company growth following recent acquisition. We are looking for someone with the right personality and management style to drive proactive improvements.
