A nationally operating offsite manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Façade Designer to join its specialist design function. The organisation delivers engineered façade solutions for complex construction projects and is known for its strong technical capability, structured delivery processes and long-term project pipeline. This role exists to support continued growth and increasing project demand and would suit a technically strong façade designer who enjoys working collaboratively from early-stage design through to manufacture and installation, with a focus on buildability, compliance and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate façade drawings in elevation, section and detail
  • Develop general arrangement façade and building elevation drawings
  • Design and schedule façade components for manufacture, including cladding, glazing, brackets, flashings and fixings
  • Prepare façade installation drawings for factory production and site use
  • Support early-stage design development to assist project bids and estimating
  • Coordinate with internal designers, engineers, production teams and specialist suppliers
  • Develop technically robust solutions for bespoke façade elements
  • Ensure drawings meet agreed timescales, quality standards and regulatory requirements
Experience Required:
  • Proven experience producing design drawings for façade projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, detailing and erection sequencing
  • Good working knowledge of cladding and glazing systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Revit
  • Architectural Technician qualification or equivalent design qualification
  • Awareness of Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act
  • Ability to work accurately and deliver right-first-time designs
Desirable:
  • Engineering-related qualification or engineering graduate background
  • Experience working within offsite or manufacturing-led construction environments
  • Exposure to coordinating tender information, specifications or RFIs
