Design Engineer

We are working with a leading provider of quality and innovative MMC building solutions, who have a real passion for design innovation. They are in a period of growth, well-funded, and as such are looking for a Design Engineer who can help take their business forward.
As Design Engineer, you will be:
- Producing designs (both standard and non-standard building types), both general arrangement and design-for-manufacture
- Managing a library of drawings and bills of materials and maintaining RFI register
- Working with your colleagues in Production by creating factory, process, and equipment designs and layouts
- Coordinating projects,, prioritising tasks, focusing on objectives
- Checking and signing-off the work of your design team colleagues
About you:
- Proven commitment to innovative design, driven to build better buildings
- Ideally at least HNC qualified in either Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D CAD software (eg Tekla, Inventor, Revit or similar)
- Good working knowledge of current drawing practices and standards related to design modeling, connections detailing, and fabrication/assembly drawings is essential
- Excellent communication and coordination skills and strong organisational skills
- Able to take initiative, ownership, and responsibility for your work
You will also have a valid driving licence and be willing to travel within the UK and abroad when required
You can expect a salary of £30-35,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits, pension, free parking, career progression, open to offer further study support.
