Steel Detailer

We’re working with a well-established offsite construction specialist delivering high-quality light gauge and structural steel framing solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Steel Detailer to their experienced design team.

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented designer with experience in steel or offsite construction who enjoys producing accurate technical drawings and working closely with engineers and project teams to bring projects from design through to manufacture.

Your Role:

• Produce accurate technical drawings and detailing packages for light gauge or structural steel framing systems.
• Develop models and fabrication information using Tekla Structures or similar detailing software.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create clear, buildable detailing information.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers and the wider design team to coordinate project information.
• Ensure drawings and models meet project specifications, manufacturing requirements and internal standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong understanding of structural or light gauge steel systems infill or load bearing.
• Experience using Tekla Structures or Revit
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a design team.

The company has a well-established drawing office of experienced detailers and offers a collaborative working environment with hybrid working available (typically around three days in the office).
