ARV Solutions are delighted to report news that six professional bodies representing the construction sector have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to actively promote a more diverse, equitable and inclusive sector.
The six organisations signing the Memorandum are Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Landscape Institute (LI), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). This represents around 350,000 workers in the UK with an aim to produce a plan of action later this year.
In a recent report by the CIOB, it reported that only 1-2% of site based workforce is female, less than 3% are part of the LGBTQ+ community and only 5-7% are black, Asian or under-represented groups.
ARV work closely with our team, clients and candidates to continue to improve diversity, equity and inclusion in the construction sector and appreciate the benefits this brings to both companies, their workforce and society as a whole.
