Rounding off the month of August we thought we’d take a moment to share some of the current news across the offsite sector.

Rounding off the month of August we thought we’d take a moment to share some of the current news across the offsite sector.

Over the last month or so we have seen great initiatives and projects underway using MMC and incorporating environmentally friendly solutions and renewable energy sources. (We considered making this news piece about environmental improvements alone – they go so hand-in-hand with offsite!)

Some of the latest positive industry news:

  • M-AR have completed the first of three housing schemes in partnership with Bromley Council
  • JV North – £560 million MMC framework for offsite manufactured housing – Eight modular contractors appointed!
  • Algeco – secured two £31m accommodation contracts with the MOD to supply high quality modular accommodations for the British Army Barracks. Manufactured in factories, the modules will be delivered to site with a Pre-Manufactured Value (PMV) of around 80%. Demonstrating the Army’s efforts to be Carbon Net Zero by 2050, features will include solar PV and heat pumps.
  • Tophat have announced their well-developed plans for a huge second factory – 650,000 sq ft!
  • Offsite Solutions, Somerset based Pod manufacturer announced their highest ever order intake with nearly £40m of new contracts.
  • Offsite Awards finalists were announced recently – with a huge array of well deserving entries.
  • Hill Group acquired Fusion Stel Framing – with huge potential to take it from strength to strength.

PS: There’s a lot more news we hear pretty early at ARV Solutions, about new factories, new manufacturers, expansion plans, entries into new markets – but we just can’t talk about it!

Hopefully, once all the jobs are filled the news will get out there!
