Job Title: Trainee Quantity Surveyor

This role sits within a specialist offsite construction business delivering panelised building solutions across the UK. The position exists to support the commercial team as part of continued growth, offering structured development into a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor. It would suit a recent graduate in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline seeking practical experience in a modern construction environment, with exposure to the full project lifecycle and mentorship from experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with procurement, negotiation, and administration of subcontract packages
  • Support the preparation and submission of client payment applications in line with contract terms
  • Contribute to project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities
  • Help identify and manage commercial and contractual risks
  • Monitor project progress against programme to support delivery teams
  • Assist in managing insurances, bonds, and financial compliance requirements
  • Support preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts
  • Contribute to maintaining strong client relationships and service delivery
Experience Required:
  • Recently completed a degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication and collaborative working ability
  • Basic understanding of construction or commercial processes
  • Professional and organised approach to work
Desirable:
  • Previous experience within construction or subcontracting environments
  • Exposure to the education sector or similar project types
  • Valid UK driving licence or working towards obtaining one
