Are you a Timber Frame Designer looking to make a bigger impact? 
Are you a design technician with a passion to learn all ins and outs of the timber industry?

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading player in the offsite construction industry, and they are on the lookout for a design technician to join their design team. If you are someone who thrives at the intersection of customer support, design innovation, and product development, this is your next move.

As a Design Technician you will: 

  • Build relationships with key customers, providing best-in-class technical and design support. 
  • Be the go-to expert on Timber Frame software in-house
  • Play a cross-functional role, advising on Timber Frame, Truss, and Floor design daily. 
  • Train and mentor colleagues in timber frame detailing and design. 
  • Drive innovation through collaborative engineering discussions.

What we are looking for:  

  • 4+ years of experience in Timber Frame Design 
  • Strong grasp of technical drawings, calculations, and UK building regulations. 
  • Hands-on with AutoCAD (or similar) and Timber Frame/Truss/Floor software. 
  • Proven customer support experience in a technical setting.
