Background
We were contacted by the Managing Director of Pinewood Structures, a valued client that we have worked in partnership with since 2008. They were pleased to involve all the relevant parties during the early stages of the recruitment process including, their Sales Director in a four way video briefing. Present was their MD, our MD, Jim Roach, their Sales Directors and our Sales and Marketing Divisional Lead, Graham Brown, who would need a thorough understanding of their role and who would be filling the opportunity.
From the video call we established this role was a departure from their core repeat customer base that they had developed over years within the South East. They needed somebody that they could educate on Timber Frame but that somebody needed to be happy to develop a virgin territory. In addition, it was important that the person was a suitable fit for Pinewood Structure’s culture, the video call helped us establish what this culture was. The right candidate also needed be proactive and work hard to develop their role and turn over lots of stones to find suitable opportunities.
Our solution
Through our unique marketing efforts we sourced 2 potential candidates. Using our ARVIEW video platform we interviewed both candidates, tailoring the questions to the client and the role. From here the client interviewed each candidate online deciding that although one did not sufficiently fit their culture for a second interview, that the second candidate was a very good fit.
The results
Following a face to face final interview, the candidate saw this role as just the exciting and challenging role they could develop their career in and was delighted to be offered the position. They started at the end of August 2020.
This role was briefed at the end of June with an offer made at the end of July.
