Portable Space are very much a client committed to finding a specialist modular building all-rounder who could sell, design and estimate as well as be happy operating at site level when required managing both sub-contractors and being their client’s point of contact. A fairly unique role.

The main issue was that there was only one person within the business who has a concise understanding of modular buildings as opposed to site-based rental solutions.  This manager is both highly valued and well respected within the business but had no backup or help in growing the permanent building side of their business. By their own admission this was a tough brief for us to fill!

The challenge was very much laid down by their Managing Director, himself an ARV Solutions placement back in 2014 who has been promoted three times since joining, to find a very rare candidate who could mirror the roundness within the Modular sector that his potential future boss can demonstrate so well.

Our solution

We were approached by an old client of ours who had like many during the Covid-19 period found themselves looking for a new opportunity. We recognised very quickly that this individual could demonstrate all the competencies needed and rather uniquely ticked every box that our client required.

The results

After one video-based interview followed by a face to face interview, the decision was relatively easy for our client to make and an offer was made.
