Business Development & Estimating Manager

Location: South East / Home Counties
Package: up to £75k + Bonus

Role

  • Drive new business generation and develop long-term client relationships
  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities from early engagement through to award
  • Lead client interaction with contractors, consultants, and developers
  • Support/lead estimating and pricing of key projects
  • Contribute to value engineering and bid strategy
  • Track pipeline, forecasts, and conversion performance

Requirements

  • Background in structural steel or wider construction
  • Experience in business development, estimating, or both
  • Track record of winning work / developing client relationships
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery
  • Able to interpret drawings and technical information
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, self-driven approach to Building Studies or similar
  • Can demonstrate experience in pricing of projects from 50 to 3,000 tonnes.
  • Experience in reviewing Tekla models for the constructability of structures.
  • able to budget a job on demand (using experience).
