Are you an experienced Tekla Draughtsman with a background in structural steel or architectural metalwork, looking to work on complex projects from concept through to completion?
We are working with a well-established steel fabrication business that is continuing to grow and is now looking to strengthen its drawing office with the addition of an experienced Tekla Draughtsman. You will play a key role in supporting projects from pre-construction through to handover, working closely with project managers, engineers, clients and the workshop team to ensure a smooth delivery process.
Your technical understanding of steelwork will be essential, as you’ll be expected to provide clear, accurate drawings and technical input throughout each project lifecycle.
We would welcome conversations with Tekla Draughtsmen who:
- Have experience in structural steel and/or architectural metalwork
- Are confident producing Tekla Structures models, GA drawings and fabrication details
- Can interpret architectural and engineering information accurately
- Have experience working on projects for tier 1 and tier 2 contractors
- Possess strong communication skills and can liaise with internal teams, clients and subcontractors
- Are comfortable attending site visits and coordination meetings when required
As a Tekla Draughtsman, you will:
- Produce accurate 3D Tekla models and fabrication drawings to support manufacture and installation
- Support projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers and the fabrication team
- Manage drawing revisions and technical queries throughout the project lifecycle
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously, all at different stages
- Provide technical input to support buildability and efficient project delivery
