Timber Frame Designer
Kent
to £35,000 depending on experience

  • Are you interested in sustainable buildings?
  • Does your construction design experience include working on timber frame?
  • Would you like to be part of a small but dedicated team working on some great projects?

Growing timber engineering company seeks a further Timber Frame Designer to join their small but very busy team. They are still very busy with a strong order book, and need a Designer to work on some great projects, ideally based in the office but if you are familiar with Mitek Woodengine software, a hybrid or home-based arrangement may be discussed.

Full job description available on request.

Are you:

  • Experienced in designing for system buildings, ideally timber frame
  • Able to use AutoCAD
  • Accustomed to working on the complete build from conception to completion

Alternatively if you would like to work in the industry and have some construction experience, we would be interested to discuss trainee opportunities (salary £23-26,000) with you.

As a Timber Frame Designer with this business, you will be working with one of the most sustainable and energy-efficient materials available. You will have exposure to some interesting projects, both locally and further afield in the British Isles, as well as working with some of the larger Housing Developers and Construction Companies. Your projects could range from one-off bespoke residential projects to some large developments and you will be able to see the project through from quotation stage (estimating, client liaison) through to manufacturing and installation. This forward-thinking company is ambitious to grow in both its projects and its product portfolio and committed to providing training to grow into the role.

The current benefits package is under review, but presently offering 28 days’ holiday (including statutory days) and a good bonus scheme which could be worth up to £3,500 per year.

If this is a role that you feel would be a good match for your skills, experience and career aspirations, please apply or call Sue Eustace for further information (your call will be treated with the strictest confidentiality).
