You will be joining a major timber frame manufacturer who are currently in a big phase of expansion where they have invested in new manufacturing equipment. If you are a senior designer looking to take on more responsibility, where progression is at the forefront.

As a Technical Design Lead, you will:

  • Collaborate with teams to meet client needs.
  • Manage technical interfaces between internal and client departments.
  • Coordinate and adjust CAD design work.
  • Resolve technical issues related to timber frame construction.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations.
  • Provide support for manufacturing and construction teams.
  • Manage project drawings and ensure timely responses.
  • Review designs to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Report cost implications of design changes.

What we are looking for:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and working with technical drawings (HSBCad is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Experience with timber frame, joist, roof cassette, or truss design is highly desirable.
