Machine Setter
11 per hour
Smethwick, Brierley Hill, Oldbury, Cradley Heath, Dudley, Blackheath

• You may be a junior setter looking to step up or an experienced setter seeking a new challenge
• It would be beneficial if you have an engineering mindset

Role and Responsibilities
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful growing business within the West Midlands who have the capacity to roll various framing profiles with little notice.

Reporting to the Factory Supervisor your duties will include: –

• operate and set a rolling mill.
• be responsible for interpreting works orders and operating or setting the computer to input manufacturing data.
• Ideally be able to drive a forklift
• Check and review product to assess quality in order to avoid issues for the customer on site.
• Review and check product labelling
• Ensure high levels of Health and Safety are maintained as well as an organised work area.

Working hours 7:00 – 15:30 Monday to Thursday with 30 mins lunch. Friday is a 5 hour day totalling 37 hours a week

Requirements

• Understanding of cold rolled steel products (strongly preferable)
• Able to set cold rolled steel machinery (strongly preferable)
• Must be able to drive a forklift (preferable)
• Able to read and use computers
• Excellent communication skills
• Extremely high attention to detail
• Excellent numerical skills
